SECONDARY SCHOOL WORKSHOPS
We offer workshops for secondary school pupils that focus on
Science, Design and Technology, ICT, Business Studies, Enterprise education, financial management and team building.
Our courses
often offer teachers and students the opportunity to investigate
software sponsored by business, and to see scientific, technological
and business processes as they occur in industry.
Courses
can be held in schools and colleges as well as at industrial venues. We
have run courses in oil refineries, steel works, car manufacturers, car
dealerships, service stations, food manufacturers and Post Office
processing centres.

PRIMARY SCHOOL WORKSHOPS
All of our primary school courses involve hands-on activity. Most
combine elements of Science, Design and Technology and Art and Design.
Many also involve literacy and numeracy skills.
You can choose from our extensive list of 'off-the-shelf' courses or,
if you cannot find the course you are looking for, just contact us with
your requirements and we will design a course for you (no extra
charge).
Once you have booked your course you can relax while we undertake all
the planning, run the course on the day and provide all the equipment
and materials needed.
We are happy to work with small groups of pupils, whole classes or year
groups. We will run 20-30 minute, half-day or whole day
activities. The choice is yours.
Recent primary school workshops have included:
-
learning
about the life cycle of butterflies and designing and making moving
models using pneumatics (Paulsgrove Primary School, Hampshire and Rise
Park Junior School, Essex)
-
designing and making controllable cars (Firs Hill Primary School, S. Yorkshire and Sandown Primary School, E. Sussex)
-
designing and making shelters (Shirley Warren Primary School, Hampshire)
- making a clown's car with cams (Rise Park Junior School, Essex)
- using cams to make mice jump out of cheese, frogs jump on lilies etc (Eversley Primary School, London)
-
designing
and making roly polys (Biglandgreen Primary School, London, Paulsgrove
Primary School, Hampshire and Sandown Primary School, E. Sussex).
- investigating materials by making vehicles with seat belts and crash testing them (Firs Hill Primary School, S. Yorkshire)
- investigating shapes and making and testing paper towers (Court Lane Junior School, Hampshire)
- Bob the Builder Week - designing and making moving models of Scoop, Muck, Bob and Wendy (Sandown Primary School, E. Sussex)
- designing and making balloon-powered vehicles (Shirley Warren Primary School, Hampshire)
The full range of our 'off-the-shelf' workshops is listed below. The majority can be adapted to suit specific needs regarding age and ability levels.
If
any of them interest you, simply contact us using the enquiry
form, by email, telephone or post.
